Born in Hong Kong during the time it was a British Crown Colony, he spent his pre-teen years daydreaming about the possibilities of life and trying to understand a variety of things that strongly affected him. He spent his teen years in Australia before immigrating to the United States at age 20, first as a student, then later becoming a citizen.
His interests are wide, from science, both fact-based and speculative, theology, and philosophy, including meditative and hypnotherapy mind-based activities. This is reflected in his cross-genre writing, from mysteries, science fiction, thrillers, suspense, and even poetry. His goal in writing is to provide solidly compelling characters that readers can relate to and stories that are interesting.
