William Gensburger is the author of several award-winning fiction and non-fiction books, including A Boy Called Swift, The Path of Duty and Honor, Texas Dead Books 1 & 2, Distant Rumors: 10 Stories, The Era of Synthetic Reality and Other Stories, and Verisium: Conversations with AI on the Meaning of Life and Death.

Born in Hong Kong when it was a British Crown Colony, William spent his pre-teen years daydreaming about the possibilities of life and trying to understand the many things that fascinated and affected him. He spent his teenage years in Australia before immigrating to the United States at age 20, first as a student and later becoming a U.S. citizen.

His interests are wide-ranging, encompassing science—both fact-based and speculative—as well as theology, philosophy, meditation and hypnotherapy. Those interests are reflected in his cross-genre writing, which includes mysteries, science fiction, thrillers, suspense and poetry.

His goal as a writer is straightforward: to create compelling characters readers can relate to and stories that keep them interested in what happens next.

William lives outside Boise, Idaho, with his wife and the younger two of his children.
